User Interface Design
Sydekick was a concept created at Startup Weekend, a 54-hour, hands-on creative and technical workshop. The idea started out as a "on-demand wingman"-type of service, but as we progressed through customer interviews and validation, we discovered the core problem wasn't the lack of a wingman. The core problem was the difficulty in finding things to do on a given evening with your loose network of Facebook friends. Thus, Sydekick was born.
Sydekick is a simple way to organize quick, informal get togethers with your Facebook friends. The simple, straightforward interface makes it easy to quickly organize happy hours, wine nights, and other social events.
I led the art direction and creative vision for the Sydekick brand and the app. In addition, I created the wireframes, and created several visual designs to help the development team produce.I led the art direction and creative vision for the brand and the app. In addition, I created the wireframes, and created several visual designs to help the development team.
Myself and two other designers worked collaboratively to concept and sketch the UX experience. Then, we paired with our developers to design the visual prototype in the browser, to get the app experience live and out in the field for testing, feedback, and iteration.
